Comments: Captain America joins the team after the events Captain America Vol. 2 #3. This disconnect does little more than confuse readers. The purpose should be to make the books new-reader friendly, but they chose to use a common character (Cap) and structured the books to be out of sync yet with each other. Skipping past this problem, the plot is reasonable, but characters are one-dimensional. The sequence in which the Avengers free Thor from the amber is laughable. The purpose was to showcase each character and their powers, but it was overblown. They put almost as much effort into freeing Thor as they did fighting him. One would wonder if this same group effort would be used to open a jar of pickles. They should have used the team/powers introduction during the battle with Loki.
